Project Overview
In 2023, TINGS participated in the sustainable bottled water initiative of Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, a luxury five-star hotel located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
As part of its environmental commitment, the hotel launched a comprehensive sustainability program aimed at eliminating single-use plastics throughout its operations. This initiative included replacing plastic water bottles with reusable glass bottled water produced on-site.
To support this transition, TINGS supplied a customized glass bottled water production solution designed to deliver premium drinking water for hotel guests while meeting the highest standards of hygiene, quality, and operational reliability.
About the Sustainability Initiative
According to the hotel’s sustainability announcement, 2023 marked a major milestone in its environmental strategy.
Fairmont Bab Al Bahr committed to removing plastic items across the property, including plastic water bottles. The hotel introduced an innovative water bottling facility capable of producing, filtering, mineralizing, and filling drinking water into reusable glass bottles.
The facility was designed to supply:
- 367 luxury guest rooms, suites, and villas
- Hotel restaurants and dining facilities
- Daily production capacity of approximately 4,000 liters of drinking water
This project represents an important step toward reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainable hospitality practices within the UAE hotel industry.
