Proven Bottled Water Production Line in Nigeria | 2,000 BPH

Project Overview

Country: Nigeria

Year: 2025

Capacity: 2,000-3000 Bottles Per Hour

Project Strategy: Start Production First, Expand Later

Project Status:Successfully Delivered

Project Background

Bottled water production line in Nigeria can be started in different ways. A new investor does not always need to purchase every machine at the beginning.

In 2025, TINGS worked with a Nigerian customer who was developing a new bottled water business on his own farm. His farm was also undergoing expansion and construction, so he wanted to start the water production business without waiting for the entire factory project to be completed.

Instead of supplying a standard complete semi-automatic production line, TINGS developed a simpler solution that matched his current situation.

The final solution included a 2,000 BPH water treatment system, water filling machine, and sleeve labeling and shrinking system.

The customer could purchase bottles from the local market at the beginning and start production first. Other equipment could be added later when the farm and factory were ready for the next stage.

Customer Background

The customer already had a farm in Nigeria and was planning to expand his business into bottled water production.

At the same time, construction and development work was still taking place on the farm. This created a practical challenge.

He wanted to start the bottled water business, but he did not want to invest in a complete production line before the entire site was ready.

A standard semi-automatic bottled water production line normally includes several machines:

  • Water treatment system
  • Semi-automatic bottle blowing machine
  • Water filling machine
  • Sleeve labeling machine and shrinking oven
  • Laser coding machine
  • Film packaging machine
  • Conveyors and other auxiliary equipment

Buying all these machines at the same time would require a larger initial investment and more installation space.

The customer therefore asked TINGS a simple question:

Can we start the production first and add the other equipment later?

A Practical 2,000 BPH Solution

After discussing the customer’s current site conditions and business plan, TINGS decided not to simply offer the standard equipment package.

Instead, we redesigned the project around the customer’s immediate production needs.

The final solution consisted of three main parts:

2-Ton Water Treatment System

2,000-3,000 BPH Water Filling Machine

Semi-Automatic Labeling and Shrink Tunnel

Why Did We Not Include a Bottle Blowing Machine?

This was one of the most important decisions in the project.

Normally, a bottled water factory can produce its own PET bottles using a bottle blowing machine. This provides more control over bottle supply and can reduce bottle purchasing costs when production reaches a suitable scale.

However, the customer was still expanding his farm and preparing the production site.

Installing a complete bottle blowing section at this stage was not necessary for his immediate goal.

Instead, he chose to purchase ready-made bottles from the local market first.

This allowed him to avoid waiting for the bottle blowing section and reduce the initial equipment investment.

When the factory is ready for further expansion, a bottle blowing machine can be added as the next stage.

This is one of the advantages of building a production project step by step.

Start Production First, Expand Later

The customer’s project was not designed around the idea that every machine must be installed on day one.

It was designed around a more practical question:

What equipment is necessary to start production now?

With the final solution, the customer could:

  • Treat and prepare production water
  • Fill and cap bottled water
  • Apply sleeve labels
  • Shrink the labels
  • Purchase bottles locally
  • Start selling bottled water
  • Add more equipment when the factory expands

This approach helped the customer start his new bottled water business while continuing the development of his farm.

Successful Delivery of the Nigeria Project

After the equipment was manufactured and prepared by TINGS, the production line was successfully delivered to Nigeria.

The project demonstrated that a bottled water factory does not always need to begin with the most complicated or complete equipment configuration.

For new investors, especially customers who are still developing their factory, a semi-automatic bottled water production line in Nigeria can be planned in stages.

The first stage can focus on the equipment required for actual production.

The second stage can add bottle blowing and other packaging equipment.

The later stages can introduce more automation as production volume and market demand increase.

This gives the factory more flexibility while helping control the initial investment.

Start with the necessary equipment. Get production running. Then expand when the business is ready.

For TINGS, the goal is not simply to provide a list of machines. We work with the customer’s actual site, budget, production plan, and future expansion needs to create a solution that can work in the real world.

If you are planning a bottled water project in Nigeria or another African market, TINGS can help you evaluate which equipment you need for the first stage and which machines can be added later.
